Marla Levy Patient From UK Travels Across the Country to Receive Heart Surgery by Dr. Sandeep Attawar in India

“My name is Ailsa Levy and I owe my life to Dr. Sandeep Attawar, Director and Chair- cardiovascular surgery, thoracic organ transplantation, mechanical circulatory support at Global Hospital, Chennai, India. My started in UK while I was only 21 and identified with a congenital heart defect: supravalvular aortic stenosis or SVAS. It develops before birth and causes narrowing of the aorta, the large blood vessel that carries blood from the coronary heart to the rest of the body.It was one of the most critical decisions I had to take in my life was when I was told by his local doctor that I had the choice of waiting for six months for a heart surgery through the National Health Service (NHS) or pay £19,000 for the same operation at a private hospital in Britain.

At this point, Dr. Sandeep Attawar was strongly recommended to me. He specializes in bypass surgery, valve repairs and replacements, surgery for congenital heart disease, removing tumors of the heart, and aneurysm repair. I learned about him on Google that he had is a high-volume surgeon that treats the most complex diseases of the heart and lungs. His reputation for clinical excellence and stellar outcomes is known both nationally and internationally. He is touted as one of the best in his field and I credit him with saving my life. so if you would like more information or even if you have a simple question please visit here :

I knew surgery was the only choice, but I wanted to learn as much as possible about his surgical options. My biggest fear was not being able to do my routine work after surgery. Nobody wants to give up their lifestyle; my biggest concern was getting through the surgery. I was only 29 years old at the time and didn’t know what to expect. I was really scared of the surgery and any side effects or complications that might arise. I also was concerned about the recovery time, when I would be back to normal and how my life would be affected in the future, Overall I obtained amazing information and aid from my cardiologist, and I even got to meet him prior to the operation to discuss my surgical treatment in detail. I honestly appreciated how he and his team addressed all my doubts in a way that made me more relaxed and calm by the time the surgery became scheduled.

Moving forward with him and his team I had my heart surgery. I felt lucky to have Top Cardiologist Dr. Sandeep Attawar by his side every step of the way. To perform the surgery, my heart was stopped and I was placed on a machine that does the work of the heart and lungs. When the bypass surgery was complete, I was brought me to the cardiac intensive care Unit of Global Hospital Chennai. He gave me the gift of life, and I wanted to show him the living, breathing proof that what he and his team does matters and makes a huge difference for their patients and their families. I am beyond grateful for the care and fighting chance Dr. and his team gave me. The faculty, staff, and nurses at Global Hospital, Chennai were phenomenal, a 10 out of 10. I owe everything to Dr. Attawar. I think it was absolutely terrific and I would have no hesitation in recommending any of my friends to come here. In one sentence my experience of India and surgeon has been unbelievable. I really can’t commend the surgeon enough. I had no problem coming again. It cost him only £4,800 and that included the cost of my flight from UK to India and back. I feel so fit now than what I was feeling.”We pride ourselves on our level of patient care, so if you would like more information or even if you have a simple question, please call on: +91-9370586696
